Ive been on a weightloss journey to help with my fertility before getting pregnant, it's been an adventure, I lost 70lbs pretty quickly, was super proud of myself and I got pregnant! But my bmi is still too high.
Had my first OBGYN appointment and she told me she doesn't want me to gain any weight this pregnancy, told me basically no carbs and sugar. "no pasta, no bread, no potatoes" (really sad about potatoes, they really helped me during weightloss since they're the most satiating carb) and focus on protein and fats and wants me to exercise to build stamina for childbirth. Whatever, sounds good, pretty much exactly what Ive been doing during my weightloss journey. Just switched my calories to maintenance and weigh myself to make sure I'm not gaining or loosing.
The problem I am having is working out... between cutting down on carbs, virtually no caffeine, and growing a baby. I have no energy, I still eat fruits and they help a little. Ill eat a banana and an orange before a workout but it's not long before Im back on the couch needing a nap. Maybe my body will get used to the no caffeine eventually and ill have more energy. Also thinking of getting a YMCA membership and swimming, maybe swimming will be easier. Any advice?
