Problem/Goal: I am looking for feedback on my initial stock picks and suggestions on my portfolio.
Context: I recently opened a BDO Securities account to start my investing journey. I’ve already purchased 500 shares of Ayala Land (ALI) at around ₱15.10 and 500 shares of Maynilad (MYNLD) at ₱21.86. I chose ALI because it feels undervalued compared to its pre-pandemic levels, and MYNLD because it’s a utility stock that I think will provide stability. I have a moderate risk tolerance, but as a beginner, I’m sticking to blue-chip stocks for now.
Previous Attempts: I’ve been reading some of the BDO Securities research reports and watching local market news. I wanted to get the community's take on whether my current focus on property and utilities is a solid foundation or if I should pivot to other sectors immediately.
