I’m in a bit of a problem whereby I live in a 4 bed house joint tenancy. in March, 2 of the flatmates said they had got a new tenancy elsewhere and were leaving mid May, a week later, my other flatmate said he was leaving too and has since signed a new tenancy elsewhere.

Landlord said they could only be released from the tenancy we’re on if we have new tenants signed and referenced by 17th May. They would put us all on a new APT. In that time, we’ve had 3 people lined up to take over. 2 have passed referencing, however the third person has backed out yesterday.

What makes it more complicated is that the other two’s own separate tenancies end in a couple weeks, so are kind of screwed if this falls through, as have not signed here yet, and are moving out of their own places.

Not sure what to do at this point as won’t be able to afford multiple rooms rent myself, and although we’re on a joint tenancy - I’m unsure if my original flatmates will be keen to keep paying rent on rooms they’re not using. Any advice on what I can do at this stage?

I have a FedEx case that was opened with the fraud and security team, that happened as a result of shipping an express package domestically in the US, without the knowledge that my account opened in the UK, wasn’t allowed to do this (and despite doing so regularly for 4 years before this) - the package was never delivered, and pulled aside by security team for “account abuse”.

I got given a 6 digit case number on the 10th April, and I’m calling daily for new info and any sign of receiving the package back (by providing a new US-based shipping account number) however I am always told that they will follow up and should receive an update in the following 24 hours - however I never do.

Has anyone had a delay with this team before, just wanting the package back at this stage, any tips to help get this expedited? The phone rep can’t see any new updates in last 2 weeks.
