Newer reloader here. Ran into an issue, figured out the solution, but would like any input to avoid a similar situation going forward.
I have loaded a couple batches of 230 FMJ rn for 45 acp without issue. I grabbed some 185 gr berrys flat point and decided to load them with Accurate no 7. I checked the Hodgdon website and hit the specs within a thousandth or two. COAL at 1.2 and this is where it bit me. I took these rounds to the range and they would not chamber in two pistols. The slide would not close all the way. I took a black marker and colored the round, chambered it, and saw the witness marks. They were right at the bearing surface. On these rounds, it seems like the bearing surface protrudes too far with COAL at 1.2". I seated the bullet .100 deeper to 1.1" and they chambered fine, but the case volume was reduced so I planned on pulling them. You can see from the image below, the commercial round is on the left and reload on the right. The bearing surface is too far forward it seems. Anyone ran into this before with these bullets? Any issue with seating 45 acp to 1.1" COAL? Should it feed ok? Any input is greatly appreciated.
I grabbed this variety last year and it has really been producing heavily early this year. The scent is unique and the color is incredible.
Grabbed a small orchid tree recently at the USF plant festival and it put out its first bloom.
I have had this trumpet plant for about a year. It will bloom, but drops the flowers before they fully open. Any idea why or what I might change about the care to get full blooms?
My father found this one on the side of the road probably 20 years ago. It has always blessed us with amazing blooms. This year is no different.
Anyone happen to have any idea what variety this one might be?
