Seepage is an amazing map. I don't know what exactly the timed badwater sources are supposed to affect, since they were all activated long before it affected me. But I should have turned off my four original pods when I built the 4 advanced pods. 27 day drought got me good.

Oh well. Maybe next time.

Just lost a dozen beavers to thirst with a 56 pop and 5 water pumps. 😒

Super annoying. I had about 24 beavers when my first badtide hit and almost lost all of the beavers to thirst before making a comeback. After stabilizing, I doubled my food production and added 3 more water pumps before doubling my population, but over about 4 more droughts and a couple of badtides bouncing between 3-5 running pumps (2 got temporarily submerged while I refilled a reservoir). Since I consider any dead beavers aside from old age a loss and have to restart the map, it just doesn't make sense and I'm irritated.

Okay. I'm done complaining.

EDIT: I feel the need to defend my beaver overlord credibility. I had around 15 small water tanks scattered around my settlement (which was overextended but I keep small water tanks and food storage every 25-30 tiles) and 3 reservoirs. 1 dried out every badtide (Not drought) and 2 never dried out (where 4 of my water pumps were located). I also had 10 haulers prioritizing only log storage near plank production and the water pumps.

It was just a snowball effect where I got overconfident and didn't pay enough attention to my farm and forestry fluid dumps (3x3 depth 1) and once my beavers got thirsty, water pump operators would stop pumping water to walk across the map to get a drink at another water pump.

But not for me. First map since automation. I always love that one moment when you can confidently say you are winning.
