Had an hiv ag/ab test at 42days as per CDC and got a negative result.

Has any of you ever had a false negative at this time period, I am mostly asking because my doc requested testing until 6months and that fucked up my entire already disoriented mental state 😭

I told him about window period of hiv ag/ab from lab, and all he said was "again test at 6months". No reassurance, no sympathy nothing... I am honestly spiraling right now and just need some reassurance on the internet I guess
