
I posted my all steel team a couple days ago and utilizing the feedback provided, I modified the team. This is draft 3 of the all steel team. I dont know if this is final, but im looking for more feedback and thoughts. More info in body text. Its a longer body text than i'd like.
Same restrictions as last time. Avoiding meta, and empo, goodra, chimecho are must haves. If you have any idea that I may have missed or anything like that, do not hesitate to say something. I'll try to keep the summary short.
With these changes ive messed with training values and essentially got it to where everyone but empoleon avoids being blitzed by sneasler (the amount of effort to get that thing to not get close combat sent to hell by sneasler is insane), and we've got multiple plans for fighting types, sun teams, and ground types.
When it comes to empo, I still dont know if I want vacuum wave over ice beam since vacuum wave is prio special move with some fighting type coverage, but I fear goodra and empo overlap too much in offensive typing. Still not a fan of hydro pump, but the damn penguin doesnt learn any decent special water moves aside from surf. I'd rather not damage my own team.
Goodra, that thing will not die. Chople covers the fighting types that actually can one shot it, otherwise, ground hurts but isnt too bad, and the bulk means most things will find it hard to remove it. I think I like the goodra set, but any extra suggestions are appreciated.
Tink... I was planning to take tink off the team and replace with something else (no clue what), but getting rid of fake out/encore felt too damaging since tink is the only steel type in champions that learns fake out (as far as I know). We've swapped play rough for gigaton hammer and added protect. Tinks natural special bulk let it survive most threats, and gigaton hammer is just specc'd to hit HARD. Once I get some practical testing in, i'll probably swap to mold breaker if I run into too many armor tails and queenly majesty's.
The newest addition, Klefki. I decided to consolidate most of the support to klefki. Giving it prankster to set a prio sandstorm into char, trick room because of course, reflect because aside from skarmory and goodra, those physical mons seem to be more of a problem than most special attacking mons. Dazzling gleam to spread some damage around if I dont need to get anything up. Im not the most confident in its moveset rn, but the team does need the 3 support moves it has. Any suggestions are appreciated.
The one and only chimecho... I've changed its ally switch to calm mind, allowing it to be more offensive. Idk if I should remove trick room and replace with protect or ally switch, but I figured it'd be nice having 2 ways to set trick room in case of emergency. Its also specc'd to survive just about anything strong into it depending on whether or not I mega evolve.
Finally, skarmory, the other newest addition. Im still debating on whether I want skarmory or not, BUT using skarmory allows for a tailwind setter to be on the team. He is specc'd specifically to outspeed and kill char y (my first line of defense into it). The mega is 1 point faster than char y, but if the char is bulky to survive a rockslide, I am unable to one shot it. Thats pretty much its purpose. Blitz char y and/or set up tailwind. The rockslide brave bird go to town.
