Need help with a middle name!
Throwaway because my family knows my Reddit account and we are trying to keep names a secret! We also do not know the gender of our baby. We already have a boy name picked out, after my dad and my husband’s grandfather. We picked out a first name for a girl but can’t decide on a middle name: first name will be Eleanor, we’ve had it picked out for years. Middle names we can’t decide between are Catherine and Margaret; both are after our grandmothers, mine is still living, but his passed away before he was born when his mom was still pretty young.
We did float the idea that maybe we use one of the names as a second option completely if we end up with two girls. The other issue I’m stuck on is that our last name is pretty long so if we choose either name, our potential daughter is going to have a really long name in general, but I might be overthinking with that.
