Hi, I have a trip to Japan(Tokio) from Spain with some friends and, when making the reservation with Qatar Airways, I made a mistake in one of their names and a surname.

For example, I wrote “Manuel” instead of “Manel” for the first name, and “Gtierrez” instead of “Gutierrez” for the second surname. In both cases, a vowel is either missing or extra.

I called the airline and they told me that, since the booking includes connecting flights, they can’t make the change.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Do you think my friend could have problems boarding the flight? I’d really appreciate any advice to help me feel more at ease. Thank you.

Hola, tengo un viaje a Japón con unos amigos y, al hacer la reserva con Qatar Airways, me equivoqué en el nombre y en un apellido de uno de ellos.

Por ejemplo: en el primer nombre puse “Manuel” en lugar de “Manel”, y en el segundo apellido escribí “Gtierrez” en vez de “Gutierrez”. Es decir, en ambos casos falta una vocal/ o sobra.

Llamé a la aerolínea y me dijeron que, al haber vuelos con escalas, no pueden hacer el cambio.

¿Alguien ha tenido una experiencia similar? ¿Creen que podría tener problemas para volar? Me vendría bien alguna opinión para quedarme más tranquilo. Gracias.
