I went to the chop shop today. This pain is nothing to be played with
I’m a 43F that went in for a neck lift and chin implants
Considering I traveled from out of state alone to get this done and am taking care of myself, I’d say it’s going well.
I wasn’t naive about having pain after but you can never really know that pain will do until the day of.
There are some things I did for my self to help make this process easier for me to take care of me.
- Hydration. I went to the local supermarket when I got out here and got a pack of water bottles.
3 by my bed, 12 prepped with liquid IV (no more than three of those a day, the rest are just room temp for when I need to chug
High count protein shakes to keep close enough to that macro since I can’t chew.
Sugar free jello & cottage cheese with pineapple.
I haven’t been able to figure out fiber but let’s see what the next three days bring.
I also purchased a wedge pillow for sleeping elevated. One to leave here and I have one at home waiting in me.
I purchased body wipes for the days I can’t shower.
And gloves, vasaline, and Qtips for when it’s time to start swapping out my own dressings.
And my two faves right now- portable fan and handheld mirror for 360 view.
I still haven’t unwrapped to see what I look like but doc said expect to be mad at him for atleast 10 days lol.
If anyone has tips for me- please share. PLEASE 🙏🏽
