Lenovo IdeaPad gaming 3, bought in may 2023 and the pic is of 5 dec 2025. Laptop started throttling even in valorant hence thought that i should finally get thermal paste.
Tho i am confused about whether i should go for thermal paste or pad, I'm considering applying it by myself and refrain from paying some technician or is it too tough for me to handle? This is my 1st & only laptop i have so if it's tough I'd rather pay than to put my laptop in danger.
I have opened my laptop multiple times to clean gpu fans and stuff and one day opened just to check the state of cpu & gpu. So i can manage that but applying itself requires some skill and there I'm kinda scared.
Also do recommend pad/paste whichever one is better any other recommendations and suggestions are welcomed.
Specs - r7 6800H, 3050 4gb, 16gb ddr5, 512gb ssd.
