First driver goes to get my order. They’re there for a pretty minute. Suddenly unassigned. At this point it’s been an hour on a 17 minute quote time. I say screw it I’m gonna go to the restaurant myself.
Get there as a second driver is assigned. I see them in the parking lot so I pull off and wait. It’s a long line. They get to the pay window and suddenly pull off, don’t even go to the food window. Then unassigned. I’m like ok the line is long but you’re literally right there?? So I pull to the speaker and give my name. They say my order is already picked up and they won’t make it again.
Since my second driver unassigned I couldn’t message them asking to cancel. I drive back home and wait. Boom third driver gets assigned. I don’t want them sitting in that long line for nothing so I send a message asking them to cancel rather than unassign because the first driver stole my order.
They read my message and immediately mark they have my food and start driving to me. I messaged as soon as I got there so there is no way they went through that line PLUS convinced the restaurant to remake my order. I immediately think something is fishy and waited outside. I saw them pass my entrance really fast then looped around. Next time they drove very slow past and i snapped a pic of their car. They pulled into the gas station next to me to get closer to my building and I pulled up next to them recording.
I asked about my food. First he said he went to the restaurant and they wouldn’t give him anything so he drove to my house to explain. As if he couldnt call or message. Or as if that explained why he would creep past but not actually come to my building. Then he kept asking me to cancel so it wouldnt drop his rating (but he could still keep the tip for nothing). Just excuse after excuse. I just let him know i took a picture and video and i have his car and face proving he had no order and was trying to get a free tip and pulled off.
Got a refund minus $1 for some reason for the food but not able to remove my tip. Im so irritated. 2 1/2 hours later no food and too late to order anything else. Impossible to speak with someone in support. Irritated at the second driver for not cancelling when the restaurant said they already gave the food away even though I’m not super mad because at least THEY didn’t steal anything. Im real life done with app. The coupons don’t do anything anyway.
