Online All The Time, Mentally Tired All The Time
Today, I want to talk a little about physical and mental health. Nowadays, we all can see how the world is slowly shifting from offline to online. It has become a part of our daily routine now. People don’t spend as much time outside anymore; instead, they spend most of their time online.
There are many consequences of this that people notice but still choose to ignore like mental exhaustion, mood swings, and health issues, especially problems related to the eyes. There are many other things too that affect us deeply. I have personally experienced some of these things myself, so I cannot ignore them.
Now it feels like we have to stay available 24/7, whether it’s for online work or for talking to someone. Almost everything has become online now. People are already stressed because of work pressure, and on top of that, online pressure has also been added.
We have become so dependent on these things that even our ego gets affected by them. For example, if we don’t get an immediate reply to a message, we start feeling irritated. People now interact more online because they have made it a source of emotional comfort and support. But it’s not really like that. Being online doesn’t mean being emotionally available. Most of it exists only in our minds because we have accepted it that way.
Just think about it if you are unable to sleep at night, will the person who lives thousands of miles away actually come and sit beside you? We have started handling everything so emotionally that we no longer understand the difference between online and offline connections.
In reality, we have simply given our loneliness an online form.
There are some things we really need to understand. Some things feel better online, while some things are meant to be experienced offline. As people say, everything is good only within limits.
People are slowly losing their personal space too. Even when someone is sitting alone quietly, their mind is still constantly thinking about something because our brains remain stuck in these things all the time.
If we truly want, we can change this, maybe not instantly, but slowly. It all depends on us and our mindset. We just need to start changing the way we think.
So try to change a few things in your life and make sure to explore the world physically too. That’s how mental peace stays balanced, and your mental health slowly starts improving as well.
