People just don't understand the bit
I thought there was a level of intellectuality in this community that understood to look beyond the surface. Yes at a superficial level Crye looked better (barely) then Ben. When you understand the context and inspiration though, you would understand that we are all actor's and the world is a stage.
I am begging you guys to watch Joaquin phoenix's Joker, Taxi Driver and King of Comedy. Understand these characters. Put yourself in the head of Travis Bickle. When you have reached that space rewatch the confrontation, and you will see that at a deeper and intellectual level Ben destroyed everything that Jeff hold's dear and didn't have to engage with that right wing Crye-Bully's normie dialogue. Ben went 5 steps ahead and deconstructed the whole idea of sympathy, empathy and victimization.
This is why people at the comedy store, aka people who understand themes and subtexts, are clued in on what he is doing and congratulated him for taking the conversation to a place that Jeff couldn't even comprehend.
