What does Robert Half actually do now, besides run a job search board?
Back in 2012, Robert Half helped find me my previous job, which I had for 13 years. I met with one of their recruiters, they shopped my resume around, they talked to companies that were looking for someone with my skills. Eventually I started working for my previous employer as a temporary employee, who paid RH for a while, until I was hired permanently.
Now I'm trying to find any mention of those same services on their web site, and I'm not seeing anything. They don't seem to offer job placement services anymore, unless that's buried deep somewhere. Everything just directs you to their job search board. So why do I even need them at all? Are they offering anything that Indeed or LinkedIn isn't?
I'm not trying to insult them. I get it - the job market sucks right now, and businesses don't need to go to RH to find thousands of desperate unemployed workers begging for a job. It makes sense if they've altered their business model over time. But I just want to make sure I'm not missing something.
Side question: are there any companies that are still offering job placement services?
