skipped amalfi for our april honeymoon and did tuscany instead, zero regrets

finally took our honeymoon end of april, did 10 days rome , val d'orcia , florence, skipped amalfi cause it was still cold down there

best part by a mile was tuscany, agriturismo near pienza, brunello lunch in montalcino that turned into 5 hours, cooking class with a nonna. florence we stayed in oltrarno not the duomo side, way better. rome was monti, used a planner since we both work full time, paid more but worth it for us

things i'd tell someone doing similar: book borghese 2 months out, get a driver in tuscany not a rental car (ZTL fines are real), dont eat anywhere within sight of a monument, april weather is unpredictable

skipping amalfi for april was the right call honestly. ask away
