Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been running a lead magnet campaign targeting agency owners (mostly US 70-80% and then EU). It was centered around a short survey + value exchange (sharing insights/benchmarks in return), and it ended up bringing in around 700–800 responses.
The data includes things like:
- Their niche (local SEO, PPC, web dev and ecommerce etc.)
- Target market (Some of them are agencies that are providing marketing services to smaller businesses, however during the validation of the list, I found that there are local businesses itself as well)
- Approx revenue ranges (MRR brackets, Number of employees etc, not all entries has these, only the ones that are mostly smaller agencies)
- Main bottlenecks/pain points in scaling
I didn’t sell anything upfront — the goal was more around research and audience building.
Now I’m sitting on this dataset + contact list and trying to figure out the smartest way to actually leverage it without coming off spammy or burning trust. I have worked with individuals since 2021 in SEO, specifically Local SEO and I have this anxiety of exactly how I can get the most out of it since it will be an agency now, and not an individual project/Local business itself)
For those of you who’ve done something similar:
- How would you segment and approach this list?
- What kind of offers or funnels tend to work best with agency owners when it comes to SEO?
- Any creative ways to turn this into long-term value (not just quick monetization)?
Would appreciate any ideas or experiences.
