How realistic is my goals?

Hey guy,

I thought a lot before making this post because im really disappointed and insecure about how i look so I didn't want to post a photo of myself but i decided to change and become better and the best start is to exit my comfort zone

My question is how realistic is the second photo (the v taper one) its ai generated and i really liked how i look and the first photo is unfortunately how i look now so do i have the potential/shape to look like the ai generated one ofc not a 1on1 replica but close so you think i need to cut down calories or maintain and build muscles or what?

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to get back into training after being inconsistent for a long time and could use some advice.

For context, I’m 180 cm, 80 kg, and probably around 20–22% body fat. I haven’t trained properly in over a year. In the past I’d go to the gym for a month or two, then stop for a few months, and repeat that cycle.

My main goal is to become really athletic and aesthetic. I don’t just want to look good, I want to move well, be strong relative to my bodyweight, and have good conditioning.

The issue is I really don’t enjoy the gym, but I like calisthenics a lot more. The problem is I’m pretty weak right now. I can only do about 2–3 pull-ups and around 10 push-ups, so it feels like I can’t get a proper calisthenics workout in.

My current idea is to start with weight training for a couple of months to build some strength and maybe lean out a bit, then move more into calisthenics once I have a better base.

I also want to mix both weights and calisthenics, I’m just not sure how to structure that properly.

I guess I’m just not sure what’s the smartest way to approach this. Am I overthinking it? Should I just stick to calisthenics and scale it, or does it make sense to build a base with weights first?

Would really appreciate any advice, especially from people who started out weak and worked their way into calisthenics or more athletic training.

Thanks
