So, we just got the results of my husband’s SA and we’re pretty devastated and concerned moving forward.
His analysis was:
Volume: 1.45 mL
Concentration: 7.8
Total/ejaculate: 11.3
Total motile: 3.39
Total motility: 30%
Progressive: 20%
Morphology: 2%
Immotile: 70
Is there a chance these numbers could be wrong? He said when he did the test he felt rushed and in his head. It was during the work day. He also said he didn’t produce as much ejaculate as he normally does which explains the low volume.
He does drink and uses marijuana but these numbers are so low I don’t think those things would be causing this alone.
He suspects he could have a varicocele but we don’t have an appointment with a reproductive urologist for another month. It’s killing us both living through this uncertainty right now.
We’ve been trying 11 cycles and I was diagnosed with PCOS during cycle 8 and have been improving my insulin resistance since. I do ovulate every cycle though although a tad bit on the later side but not too crazy.
Has anybody had similar numbers or experiences? Could this be a one off? Any insight would be appreciated.
