I recently bought this condo in Chicago. The ethernet entry for the router is at an inconvenient location (kitchen) and I would like to move it to the living room. I called a technician who came and said that the other outlets that I have in my apartment are for telephone and that the cables are old and are probably cut somewhere in the building, so moving the entry in the kitchen would be hard because they would have to rewire everything from the white box to the living room. Is this true? Other neighbors don't have this issue
