Hi, I am still on probation.I have been sick and taken quite a few sick leaves but have medical certificates for all of them.Employer was harassing me to provide medical certificates before noon.I have written emails and messages to explain my situation.They haven’t dismissed me but have not been replying to text messages and emails in regards to my job status either.There’s a visa involved and they have only informed the migration agent about the actions that they will take.It was done via phone call but no mention of firing me.I have been repeatedly asking if I should be back at work tomorrow but no response from the manager.
What should i do?Should i not go in or what do i do?It is very awkward to go into work without your manager talking to you.
Update: First of all thank you to everyone who’s responded.They are indeed firing me.The manager doesn’t believe that I am actually unwell despite having the medical certificates.Their other concern is also what happens if a serious illness and disease is discovered after the endoscopy results.They can’t also afford to give me time off to do any scans.I have been in contact with fairwork already.
