Hello me and my friends recently played Brass Birmingham twice, and today I introduced them to a game of Scythe. I feel we enjoy tactical competitive games, but both these games are a bit too long for us. Also, it takes a long time to get started because the rules are quite complex.

Do you have recommendations for great games that are a bit shorter to play for 3 or 4 players? With styles like resource management, are control and/or combat.
