Early 30s, work at the local airport. Front-of-house Supervisor. The stress and work load is horrendous and as we slowly go into the summer it just gets worse. Dealing with asshole customers, drunks and racists, everyone always has an attitude.. god forbid they miss their plane or have bags packed well over their limits and you have to tell them.. It's like I go to work to argue. Throw in bomb threats, delays, cancellations, fights, equipment breaking down, visa/documentation checks, staff who are not interested in being there or listening to basic instructions and very little support from the poeple above.. im over it. Last year I was hitting almost 300 hours a month during the summer and that's not an exaggeration. Can start as early as 2AM and finish as late as 1AM the following day.

I have no time to do anything, it consumes my life and I need to change that. I've been looking at jobs but most are barely above minimum wage. I don't have make a fortune, 32K Base + OT hours probably puts me around the 40Kish mark.. but going from that to 28-30K if I'm lucky would hurt. I don't mind customer service, there's just a lot of extra steps that come with working in the aviation industry.

Always had an interest in IT/Computers but with all this AI talk, i'm scared it would be a waste of time.
