Such a great movie and honestly an even better soundtrack… Here in all its first pressing glory. I can’t seem to spin this one enough. This particular example is dead silent and has incredible dynamics… Sometimes it literally amazes me at the fidelity and dynamics produced by a tiny rock being dragged across a piece of plastic.
So I have this setup with emotiva t2 tower speakers. I had an emotiva pt-100 which was a meh ok piece… upgraded to the outlaw 2220 mono blocks and then bought this fosi ZP3 for a second room and once plumbed in with the XLR out from the parasound zphono xrm and into the XLR ins of the outlaws; it stuck around… so this isn’t the level of gear some are at but sounds great to me… but I miss the functionality of the emotiva… any suggestions on what preamp I should be chasing? A rotel 1572 mkii is on my short list
Another one I bought the release date… I was managing a record store at that time… This one includes New York City Cops which if you remember was quite controversial considering the time frame (9/11 and what not)… This is just a solid album of pure rock and roll!
Another one from the catacombs of my youth. Bought this one the day it came out... I suppose I bought it for we built this city... But I remember listening to the whole thing end to end. There are a lot of good songs on this one and the production value is actually quite impressive for something so mainstream.
The whole Grave Dancers Union LP was fantastic by I still spin this one occasionally due to it being 45RPM and incredible fidelity… the live versions of black gold and never really been are also pretty great… funny enough by by the way wasn’t even released on an album until 2012… yeah so what I love my “deep cuts” and B sides lolz 😆
I really didn’t know much about the Persuasions before Jerry Lawson’s performances on the song off show… but then I had to do into them and then I basically bought the whole catalog… god mood music for Monday!
