30 days in. Absolute Game Changer!
Super excited to share my progress! I have been using my CPAP for 30 days. The first 2 weeks were pretty rough, getting used to wearing the gear and sleeping comfortably. Felt like I couldn’t breathe, when wearing it and after using it at night my breathing felt off during the day (Kind of heavy in the chest. No longer experiencing lasted a few days)
(Current settings that worked for me) humidity 5, no ramp, exhale release 3. Those were the setting that made the biggest difference for me.
Not going to lie I was getting a little discouraged, but I kept with it and I couldn’t be happier I did. Sleep scores of 95+ on most days along with some 100’s. But today marks 30 days and my blood pressure appears to be better controlled. I was waking up in the morning with BP of 150-160/97-105 feeling tense almost sometimes feeling like my fists were clenched all night. I now have waaay more energy, less irritable, less brain fog, better concentration, better memory, less anxiety, more confidence, better BP readings throughout the day with my lowest recently of 127/65 (almost non existent prior to CPAP use). With all the recent changes I’m noticing I looked up Sleep apnea symptoms and I check A LOT of boxes, and am now reaping the benefits of the CPAP. Absolute Game Changer!
Currently my morning BP readings are still a little high but a lot better than before I normally take it a few times but my initial is 141/85 and retaking it a minute or so later I’ll be 135ish/83ish. Whereas as before my lower BP reading was 145/94.
I can’t wait to see where I’m at in the next 6 months, with the hopes of being able to stop the BP medication! Anyone struggling in the beginning, hang in there the juice is worth the squeeze!
