Hey everyone,

I know having an Indian passport makes this path harder… but I’m not ready to give up on it.

I’ve been backpacking for a while and got into snowboarding recently, and now I just want to be around it more. I’m not chasing some perfect role — I’m honestly open to anything: rentals, front desk, guest experience, hostel work, helping at a lodge… whatever gets me close to the mountains while I improve my riding and earn a bit.

The biggest issue is visas. Most countries rely on WHV, which I don’t have access to, and seasonal jobs rarely sponsor. I even had a TEFL opportunity in Mexico/Colombia but couldn’t get the visa, which was pretty discouraging.

Still, I want to make this happen somehow… so I’m here asking:

Has anyone from a non-WHV country (especially India) managed to break into the snowboarding/ski industry?
Any countries, loopholes (legal ones 😅), or paths I should look into?
Or even indirect ways to get there?

I’m open to grinding it out, starting small, whatever it takes.

Just trying to find a way… so I can finally complete what I left unfinished.

Would really appreciate any advice 🙏
