Jokes aside, my game Urban Golf: Hot Dog Edition that I have been working on for 5 and a half years has just released on Steam.

I built the game in those small windows of free time in the evenings, after the kids had gone to bed. It has been a long journey, and without a doubt the biggest project I have ever taken on. There were definitely moments where it felt like I might have bitten off more than I could chew, so reaching this point feels really special.

Here are a few personal highlights from the journey:

• Getting the ball to land correctly within the shot circle based on shot quality

• Making the "Perfect Shot" aiming arc account for wind and accurately show the landing position

• Taking my very first swing after implementing controller support

• Wiring up all the climbing logic in the city level. This took a full week on its own

• Solving camera angles for tight shots between buildings

• Figuring out how to let players apply spin mid air, with a lot of maths involved

Thank you to everyone who supported me along the way. It really did make a difference.
