Open Farm wet cat food causing vomiting. Bad batch or just my cats?

Open Farm wet cat food causing vomiting. Bad batch or just my cats?

Hey everyone, I’m trying to figure out if this is just a coincidence or something I should be concerned about.

My sister-in-law and I both recently started feeding our cats Open Farm wet food, and weirdly, both of our cats have been throwing up after eating it. However she has three other cats and I have one other who does not seem to be affected in the same way and has not thrown up.

So now I’m stuck wondering:

- Could this be a bad batch?

- Is it possible our specific cats just have an allergy or sensitivity to something in it?

- Has anyone else had issues with Open Farm wet food causing vomiting?

- Should I toss the cans to be safe, or would it be okay to donate them since other cats seem unaffected? (I ask about donating because it is close to $250 in food)

For context, neither of our cats had this issue before switching foods, and the vomiting started pretty soon after introducing it. I don’t want to waste it if it’s just our cats being sensitive, but I also don’t want to risk making another cat sick if there’s something wrong with it.

Any advice or similar experiences would really help 🙏
