hey, so I'm from Bangaldesh but I've never lived there and only visited a few times. I've recently gotten really fond of my identity and roots which makes me proud to be Bangali and also feel deeply for my country and it's people in need.
I try to be a giving and charitable person and want to diversify my charity(sadaqah) into more causes, like helping the poor and needy in Bangladesh In Sha Allah.
I'm trying to find a legit and honest charitable foundation to transfer money to monthly. I've seen some posts about giving to specific posts on facebook or something but to be honest, I don't have the bandwidth to look for that and try to donate every month or so. I usually try to automate my donations and looking for a legitimate charity where I can set and forget it monthly donations and trust it is being put to good use and helping people in need.
Any suggestions or experiences?
