What is the actual purpose of this election, and why should someone in my position care about the result?
I am a 30-to-40-year-old, born and raised in the UK. Recently I’ve stopped following the news regarding the local elections.
When you're working full-time, earning just over minimum wage and struggling to provide your children with the standard of living you and my siblings had as a child, politics feels irrelevant and useless.
What is the actual purpose of this election, and why should someone in my position care about the result?
