New to Fixit and looking for advice on eliminating squeak

I recently moved into my new office and inherited a desk that has been left behind. Any time I interact with the desk it always squeaks. I've tried putting in ANC headphones on but barring turning up my volume to max the squeak still cuts through. I want to take it apart, reassemble it and tighten everything together but I'm not much of a handyman. I want to know if disassembling the desk and lubricating everything with WD40 would be a waste of time or if there is an easier solution I am unaware of.
