People like medium pen weapons because it can deal with most enemies in the game (although often they aren't the best at it). I think it would be great to give the players more specialized equipment. The Missile Pistol is a great example of this - it fulfills a niche and doesn't powercreep the Grenade Pistol, Senator, nor Ultimatum. I would love to see more of this diversity in the Primary slot. We only have 2 AP4 primaries (Eruptor and Torcher). I would love to see an AP4 precision weapon or elemental weapon, which would let some of the more basic secondaries and support weapons shine.
