Hi everyone, looking for some advice or to see if anyone has had a similar experience.
I had a driving test booked at Rugby Test Centre today (4th May). To my shock, the examiner refused to conduct the test, claiming my appearance didn't match my provisional licence photo.
The frustrating part? I took a test at the same centre on 14th April with the same licence, and there were zero issues. My appearance hasn't changed in three weeks.
Because it’s a Bank Holiday, there was only one examiner on duty, so I couldn't even ask for a second opinion or a manager to verify. It feels incredibly subjective and unfair to lose the fee and the slot based on one person's snap judgement, especially when their colleague accepted the same ID recently.
Has anyone successfully challenged a DVSA decision on identity? I’ve already sent a formal complaint, but I'm feeling pretty gutted. Any tips on how to handle the DVSA's response?
