Hello there,

i added berries to my kombucha for the second fermentation, kind of forgot about it and now, a week later, a thick pellicle is on top. Can i use that pellicle or will there be any problems due to the berries?

Also, are bottles only necessary for carbonation or is there another reason for them? Usually, i use bottles but this time i also used this jar.
