hi I had an accidental gpa fall due to STAB22 (final mark: 61, very unexpectedly horribl) which is a program requirement (ended up with a 3.61 cgpa) end of my second year. It was so out of hand due to certain personal circumstance. Like it went down from 3.82 to straight 3.62. I definitely don’t wanna keep this mark in transcript since I am to apply to grad school. But what’s the option now? SAC? how does it work? has anyone faced this ever?

Hi everyone, this might be a bit unconventional, but I’ve been trying to find more online/offline communities, especially in NYC/Toronto, for younger South Asian/Bengali diaspora people who are into Sufi music, ghazals, Persian/Urdu poetry, Rumi, Faiz, Coke Studio, qawwali, etc.

I feel like these interests create such a specific emotional/intellectual space, but it’s hard to find people around my age who genuinely connect with them beyond surface level playlists

Would really appreciate recommendations for:

• online communities/Discords

• cafés/book clubs/mushairas

• Sufi or qawwali gatherings

• artsy South Asian spaces

• Instagram pages or collectives

• poetry/music circles in NYC or Toronto

Could be Discord servers, Instagram group chats, Reddit communities, Facebook groups, WhatsApp groups, event pages, anything honestly. Trying to find more artsy/intellectual brown diaspora circles in NYC 😭
