Our kids have been at Emerson Elementary for a few years now and it seemed great when they were little. Now that they are entering the upper grades, we have concerns!
Teachers seem really checked out. New principal is okay, I guess…the jury is still out for me (weird to have someone come out of retirement- like how long before she retires again?). Is it just me or is the community non-existent these days? Seems like morale was better before the school closures and mergers? My kids are BORED! And there seems to be lots of behavioral issues and bullying.
Veteran parents, are these just hard years at any school? Has anyone had similar experiences at Emerson past or present? We are seriously considering switching schools next year and have stopped singing the praises of Emerson. It makes me sad….WWYD?
