Quick recap: told my husband I’d like to separate in November. We’ve sorted everything ourselves with minimal lawyer involvement and things are more amicable than I could ever hope for. 2 small kids and we are keeping them in the family home and will take turns being there with them.
I was excited to get back out there and feel desired and did not wait to try online dating for the first time. I told everyone I wanted nothing serious.
Buuuut I went on a date a couple of weeks after separating and we’ve been seeing each other since. (Please no lecturing about jumping in too fast I’ve already got that from my friends lol) We are having a great time but trying to be respectful of my ex- he did not want to get divorced.
My ex asked repeatedly if I was seeing anyone and I mentioned I’m talking to people. This upset him a fair bit but he’s had time to process and we went right back to amicable.
How do I bring this up? When do I bring this up? When and how do you talk about new partners meeting the children? Have never been divorced before please help.
