Writer's Startup is hiring a part-time Tumblr social media manager. The role is ~5 -10 hrs/week, remote, ongoing engagement.
Pay:
- Microcopy, captions, asks/replies, short posts:
- Longer-form Tumblr essays, threads, brand-voice longer posts: 10 -15¢/word (advanced work)
What we're looking for:
- You actually use Tumblr. You understand reblog culture, queue strategy, tag taxonomy, and why Tumblr humor doesn't translate from Instagram.
- You're a writer first. Microcopy, captions, longer-form posts when it fits, asks/replies that sound like a person.
- Comfort with content calendars, basic analytics, and reporting back on what's working.
Bonus: experience growing a brand or creator presence on Tumblr from a small base; familiarity with adjacent platforms (Bluesky, Substack Notes) is welcome.
