Looking for Honest Feedback on My New Book + Sharing a Platform for Upcoming Writers

Hey everyone,

I just published the prologue and Chapter 1 of my new book on Ink‑Me‑On.com, and I’m looking for honest, detailed feedback from readers and fellow writers.

You can read both chapters by creating a free account on the site — no paywalls, no tricks.
I’d really appreciate any thoughts on the pacing, world‑building, tone, or anything that stands out to you.

I’m also sharing the site itself because it’s something I built specifically for upcoming writers who want a place to grow an audience, test ideas, and get real feedback before publishing a full book. Writers keep 100% of their donations and subscriptions, and you can set your own prices or make your work free.

If you want to check out my book or explore the platform, here’s the site:
Ink‑Me‑On.com

Any feedback on my chapters or the platform is welcome. Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to read.

Hi typewriter lovers!

I see several photos of gorgeous typewriters, and wonder the things you write in your everyday use.
I have an Olivetti Lettera, green color, working ok.
Sometimes I use it, but just write some aleatory phrases and paragraphs.

Let’s discuss about ideas for our routine?

Have a great weekend!!

I used to think AI rewriters were the answer. Ran everything through 4 to 5 different tools and kept getting flagged on Originality and Turnitin every single time. Then I realized the obvious thing I had missed all along because you literally cannot fool an AI detector with another AI.

Started using WeCatchAI a few weeks back and the difference is night and day. Real humans actually read your content and rewrite it. The output doesn't just pass detectors but it also sounds like a person wrote it because a person actually did.

It's not cheap like a free tool but for client work where getting flagged kills your contract it is absolutely worth it. Anyone else gone the human review route or are you still grinding through AI rewriters?

Hi everyone

We’re a small international team looking for a part-time remote assistant to help with content research, light writing/editing, and structured documentation tasks.

The work includes summarizing short materials, organizing information into clear formats, proofreading simple text, and helping maintain consistency across internal content/documentation. Most tasks are straightforward and guideline-based.

The role is fully remote and flexible, averaging around 10–15 hours per week. Compensation is typically in the $10–18/hour range depending on writing quality, reliability, and turnaround time.

We’re mainly looking for someone with solid written English, good attention to detail, and the ability to follow structured instructions. Previous freelance writing, editing, research, or assistant experience is definitely a plus.

If interested, send a short intro with your background, timezone, availability, and any relevant samples or experience.

Hello! Hoping to get some advice on fair rates.

I'm working for a small UK tech company and looking to build out a blog and commission freelance writers on an ongoing basis. We want to build a body of how-to guides on practical business advice for our customers, around 1,500 words each, written for a non-technical audience (people who run kids clubs, forest schools, activity classes etc.).

We can provide a brief for each piece, and the topics are not complicated. Things like: how to register as self-employed, how to handle refunds, how to manage bookings without spreadsheets.

Could anyone tell me what you'd expect to be paid per article for this kind of work? We want to pay fairly and build a small reliable team, so genuinely want to get this right before we start outreach. We'd also be interested in student writers.

Thanks!

Hello everyone,

I'm a freelance writer & editor with 4 years of experience. Recently I came across a freelance project, initially they wanted someone to write articles for them but when I went through their site & content, i realised it needed more than just articles and then I came with a proposal for them.

So, the proposal included, finalising a layout/content structure for their website for each page, then drafting those pages, doing keyword analysis and competitor analysis, then coming up with content planner for them (for articles, and other assets). And then drafting them as well.

It's a UK based agent but China in-bound. Can you guys help me with how much should I quote? Like hourly, project or per word basis.

I never personally worked on a big project, this is my first so please help me out.

Thank you in advance.
