[Complete] [42k] [fantasy] Dream Eaters/Astral travel, found family, and the cost of obsession

Hi everyone!

I’m looking for 1-2 beta readers for my completed YA literary fantasy manuscript. I’ve already had some early feedback and made significant revisions :)
I’m now looking for fresh eyes on the full story.
Title: Dream Eaters
Word count: ~42,000
Genre: YA Literary Fantasy

When a lonely boy learns to astral travel, he spends his adolescence helping a brilliant and dangerous dreamer chase the first memory ever.
Themes: identity, found family, the cost of obsession, letting go, what it means to stay.

I’m specifically curious about whether Sunny feels like a genuine threat before the betrayal, whether the ending earns itself emotionally, and where if anywhere you felt kept at a distance from the story.

Willing to swap: yes

Thank you for reading!

Hi! I have a 40k story. I’m happy to do a swap. Please DM me :)

Themes: Identity, found family, burnout, letting go, the cost of obsession

Oliver has been leaving his body since he was eight years old. What started as a way to be close to the people he loves becomes something far more dangerous when Sunny , PhD student, dreamer, and the most magnetic person Oliver has ever met — reveals he’s been collecting fragments of the first memory that ever existed. The one that started consciousness itself. Sunny wants to restart the world. Oliver just wants everyone to make it home.
