I have fed my dog (8 y.o. staffy mix) Natural Balance lamb and rice for the last three or so years. It took years of vet monitored trials to find something that doesn't upset her stomach. She is genuinely allergic to chicken, she gets colitis. But she also has a ridiculously sensitive stomach. We tried Purina Pro plans sensitive skin and stomach, many years ago. At one point she got sick and looked at her food, they had added chicken meal. Don't know if they removed that or still have it in that food. We also tried Hill's hydrolyzed diet, unfortunately her stool was always very soft at best with that one.
I've done a bit of research again recently and would like a wsava compliant food, but at the same time I'm very hesitant to switch her food. Curious about others experiences or thoughts before I talk to her vet.
