hi everyone ! im trying to find some plants that can have their roots submerged in water to put on top of my fish tank but also non toxic to cats just incase my cats ever try to mess with my plants. I currently have a spider plant in my tank but looking to add more. any recommendations are appreciated!

what should i add to my tank to make it better for my betta ? i have some plants in there and am slowly adding more. i just added the spider plant on top and my betta has been obsessed with it so i definitely want to add more plants at the top but what plants would be best to add ? Also, tank is brown due to the tannins from the drift wood !!
