My now ex had HSV1 and was very careful, but there’s a high possibility I was exposed at some point. I was outside playing an instrument this past weekend in cold weather, so I know it could be that, but curious if the “cut” on my lip also is how a cold sore starts. There are no bumps as far as I can tell other than the cut.
