Im 18M Muslim and im not really looking to get married or anything, but I was just looking into how marriage works in Islam a little a more and what’s expected of both partners because I realized I didn’t really know much about the whole process. Anyways I don’t really remember how or what I searched but I came across the marriage SubReddit and saw a post regarding cuddling and physical touch, and saw some comments of people saying that every time they cuddle with their spouse that it always leads to sex or they expect sex.

My question is does physical affection like cuddling or kissing between spouses always have to lead to something more, or is non-sexual closeness valued on its own in Islam? I’m someone who values physical touch a lot and I feel like if it always led to something more I feel like it would get kind of tiring for me. I know I’m still young and I’m not sure if this a weird question but I’m just curious and I’m kind of embarrassed to ask this question so I’m asking on an alt account. Please don’t make fun of me.
