The hook, my Brother in law plays I don’t, first time build cause he mentioned wanting a tele however couldn’t afford at time. Well I said ought to make your own. One thing leads to another I end up building this having never seriously played before. I’m sure it shows in the flaws and I’m under no illusions.

But nevertheless It was eye opening the level of detail and complexity involved that I surely had no idea of upon taking up said adventure. It’s boutique it already has enough dings and dents to accidentally give it aged feel. I figured how hard can it be cut a shape slap on some hardware and throw on some strings 🙂‍↔️😆

Yea about 2 multimeters 14 sets of strings, 2 necks, 3-4 experimental pick guards, hardware, 2-3 tuner sets, 3-4 experimental paint jobs, sanding….ohhhh so sandy…. Toyed with walnut, cherry, oak, pine, zebra and Ipe…..yes ipe…. lol it leaves much to be desired as far as correct process, detail and intricacy an experienced luthier would normally convey in a classroom setting. But I’ll take critiques and or praises but still unsure if I’ll go for #2 yet… as this little project backed up several other irons in the fire. Much respect to you whom make the craft your trade and can actually turn profit.

Overall loved the experience, is what she is. Appreciate and will keep notes on tips of the trade. Had several other photos of many of the failures but the post is large enough.
