Hi everyone, I had an interview yesterday at Chili’s. I think it went ok overall, but at the end they gave me the infamous “we’ll get back to you in about a week”, line. The manager mentioned they still have other applicants to interview and that they’ll meet with the other managers before making a decision.

I’m just wondering, does that usually mean a soft rejection or is it just something managers say while they’re still going through the hiring process? Does it depend on the location or the manager?I’ve looked into it a bit and I’ve seen mixed opinions as some people say it basically means you didn’t get the job while others say there’s still a chance. What’s the honest reality with situations like this?
