I have found that when i was younger (and definitely not the cutest as I was in middle school, a little chunky, and just middle school core) my brothers friends would make jokes about me to him when i’m not there, he has told me they say would say things (in middle school and high school, i’m 3 years younger then him)
i do think i am objectively attractive now, but the same thing has resurfaced with my current boyfriend, (who was a grade below me) and his friends from sports that were even younger than both him and me making comments about me. (like jokingly steal ur girl stuff)
an example could be: one time we picked up a puppy my boyfriends family was getting and he posted on his story a pic of me and the puppy, and someone a year younger than him said “how much for the girl” (referring to me)
what im trying to get at here is if this is stemming from me being objectively unattractive or attractive lol. maybe it just makes me second guess what i look like to other ppl. Or does looks have nothing to do w this at all and maybe boys do this to other boys? would love to hear opinions.
