Penny (my rescue) is just over a year old and is very smart, very sweet but has the learned behavior of destroying the yard, namely tearing apart anything that is wood. We think we have gotten rid of everything in the yard she can get to but she manages to find something to wreck. The lattice around the shed and deck have all been replaced multiple times. In all honesty I have never had a dog be this destructive so have no clue how to train her at this point.
Any advice you can give me on training this behavior out of her is greatly appreciated. She currently wears a basket muzzle when outside to cut down on her scavaging and eating wood. Ive had no problem with housebreaking or basic commands. Besides the destruction she is very well behaved and a a fast learner. She was a neglect case and left to her own devices for what we gather was about 10 months
