My second Mother’s Day just passed and I still haven’t actually had a Mother’s Day. I haven’t been celebrated, considered or acknowledged beyond absolute bare minimum. Did not get even a card on either Mother’s Day. Family members are trying to make it up since but I can’t move past the grief that I still haven’t had that one day.

If you’re feeling the same way how are you planning to address it? Last year I celebrated Father’s Day (since I’m both parents anyways) but I don’t want to keep doing that every year.

Mother’s Day is starting to feel hopeless and I don’t want that.
