Using SVP to interpolate 24hz to 60hz is a game changer for 3d movies especially at projector scale
Not sure if this is common knowledge or not but I decided to try out 3d movies on my projector setup and it looked ok but quick movements leading to juddery parts of the scene made my head hurt and my projector doesn't have any native motion smoothing, if that's even a thing. Using SVP i was able to scale up to 60hz in real time, you do deal with the soap opera effect but to me that is tolerable if not preferable in 3d. I have to try more movies but testing on Avatar way of water is night and day. Using the RIFE AI interpolation engine in SVP leads to even better results if you have the GPU to power it. RIFE gives it a much more natural feel in the sense it doesn't scale to 60hz and look cheap or sped up and also clears up artifacts on lesser quality source content. I was actually amazed how it handled a subpar quality jurassic park 3 sample and how much it improved. The only downside here is you need to be hooked up to a pc/laptop powerful enough to do it.
